We set our sights high; we need 1,105 boats to set a new world record!
We’re looking for local clubs, groups or organizations that want to become a part of history! There’s no experience necessary so bring your book club, youth group or scout troop. Join the ranks and we’ll announce any club or organization on this website to help spread the word and rally more paddlers. And we’ll keep running list of all the groups attending so you can see who’ll be there.

We’ve posted this already on the Meetup.com Pittsburgh Kayakers calendar. We’re looking forward to hearing more details. I’m sure we’ll be able to put a good number of boats on the water!
I’m sending this to all my river friends. I can’t wait!! It is going to be a blast! Angel and I wouldnt miss this for the world.
I will get this on the Meetin.org calender in the next few days.
Is this only for kayaks? How about canoes – opened or decked? Or is there some discrimination going on here? Just making sure its PC.
The world record is open to both kayaks and canoes. Guinness won’t count inflatables or paddle boats though.
Nice to know…too bad its the same date as the TPRC white water clinic at Slippery Rock. You’ll lose a number of WW paddlers due to that. Oh well.
i have a inflatable kayak, will it not be counted?
disregard my comments, i should have read the rules prior to speaking my mind.
